September CPI - breaking news

The news this morning is that the CPI figure for September is 1.7 %. This is a fall from August and  a bit lower than predicted.

Unless the Autumn Statement on 30 October produces any change for 2025-26, under the current Government Rent Policy issued in April 2024, social and affordable rents may rise by CPI + 1% in 2025-26, that being 2.7%.
